I started with this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7128579 which has been running for a couple of months now.
I decided to repeat this design for a cylindrical container, I found a 5.5" ID glass vase that was 10" tall. Modified the first design and came up with this one. Worked the first time. I think this type of container is more readily available. Amazon has both glass and acrylic versions for under $20.00. Used the same pump. Plan on adding gravel to the top and add some plants that I started propagating in water,
I printed these systems in PLA, would probably use PETG for anther build to last longer, I just didn't have any on hand.
Just like the last print. Need to adjust the printing parameters to make it water tight. The main thing is the settings for the slicer, more walls the better for controlling water leaks. The one I printed was with PLA using 4 walls, 4 floor and 4 top layers, in-fill was 20% using a gyroid pattern. These parts do need support, use the t
