🐠 A House for Your Fish!
This aquarium cave is a 3D-printed shelter designed for small to medium freshwater fish, shrimp, and fry.
Its dome-shaped structure features multiple round openings that allow fish to explore, hide, and swim through comfortably. The open cavities encourage natural behavior such as resting, escaping aggression, and territorial play.
The model comes in two variants:
● Closed-Top Version — Provides a darker, more enclosed hideout ideal for shy species or breeding fish.
● Open-Top Version — Offers more light penetration, easier water flow, and reduces the need for internal support during printing.
The caves shown are printed in PETG, which is why the surface has a slightly textured, layered appearance compared to PLA.
Printing Instructions
Recommended Material
PETG (preferred for aquariums due to safety and durability)
PLA is smoother but not ideal for long-term water exposure unless coated.
Print Settings for PETG
● Nozzle: 235°C
● Infill: 10%
● Nozzl
