Convert your existing AR-15 bolt carrier to an M16 bolt carrier. The plug slides in the back of the carrier while the inner piece will fit through the carrier's slot. Then use a screw, cotter pin or dowel to hold the two pieces together. After installation the bottom of the carrier should be 1.6in long like an original M16 carrier.
There are two versions, one with a hole and one without. The hole is .125" in diameter.
