Arch Bridge Formwork

formwork to build a model of an arch bridge

we use it in our hydraulics lab to show the influence of bridge structures on stream morphology and scour holes - hence the additional parts (Kolk)

Building instructions:

Arch: print 2 x Bogen.stl, clamp them together & cover seams with duct tape, cover insides with (formwork) oil for easy release and pour concrete (use fine aggregate for best results). Make sure to release any bubbles by tapping on a hard surface. After your model is fully hardened (follow package instructions) remove formwork and repeat, depending on the desired amount of arches.

Pillars: There are two types of pillars. Mittelpfeiler.stl can be used under two neighbouring arches. Randpfeiler.stl fit only one arch but give additional stability for outer arches & a clean finish.
Print 2 x Mittelpfeiler and follow instructions for building arches.
Print Randpfeiler.stl & RandpfeilerL.stl and follow instructions for building arches.

Use any kind of plank as bridge deck.
