architectural penholder

This project is a modestly sized (10cm high) pen/toothbrush holder.The idea stems from the desire to replicate the Ionic-Attic base, one of the characteristic bases of Greek architecture. Specifically used in the Ionic order and characterised by the repetition of different mouldings, namely:- A base plinth- A torus- A Scozia with two laths, one upper and one lower- A second torusAbove these mouldings stood the famous columns of the Greek temples, note also the presence of the curved connection between the base and shaft of the column. I printed it in PLA because it does not require any special care in terms of thermal or mechanical resistance, but feel free to reprint it with the material most suited to your needs.
