UPDATE!!!
Its been over two years since I printed the ackerman link for my Typhon. Well, it finally broke!
I have since reprinted it with PLA+ and its back in the buggy. Backflips, Front flips. cartwheels, you name it. The part was never reprinted in ABS since the PLA worked so well for so long.
12/27/2020...
Here we are, two days after Christmas...
I bought my son am Arrma Granite for Christmas, my wife bought me a Arrma Typhon. Within the first 10 minutes of my son using his truck, he tanks it into a telephone pole, breaking the Ackerman Link in the steering. So, being the good Dad that I am, I took apart my new car to fix his.
I went online to buy the new parts... $6, ok. A week or more to show up, not ok.
F**k that, I'll just print it!
I super glued the link back together, busted out Fusion360 and sat down with a caliper and a coffee.
It's still not "perfect" and needs a couple tweaks, but hell... It works!
$0.07 worth of PLA should last until tomorrow, when I can
