So, I made this Sphere in practice, wanted to use it for a contest, easy right…Still very new to designing, it turns out, i knew little of Wind Spinners, and even less about their Aerodynamics.Still dont, but i got there… Somehow… I give you this masterpiece of a Garden Wind Spinner…Wings somewhat inspired by Helical Savonius rotor blades, design purely freestyle.Floral top and bottom pattern. It does require a fair amount of windto get going, but then it does pick up good speed. It gets better with use, but for a start i gave it some lubrication. The top piece helps stabilize, but dont overtighten it.1x SPINNER:2 parts in 1.0.2mm, 3 walls, 7% "Gyroid" Infill.Support under spinner IS A MUST, "Grid" with 40% "Threshold Angle", "On Build Plate Only".Print time was 5 hours 40 min.100mm x 100mm x 108mm.1x TOP PIECE:Does NOT need Support.0.2mm, 3 Walls, 10% "Gyroid" Infill.Print time was 1 hour and 25 mins110mm x 110mm x 54.6mm.4x WINGS:0.2mm, 2 Walls, 10% "Gyroid" Infill.Does NOT need Support with good cooling.Print time was 1 hour.63.67mm x 103.22mm x 14.3mm1x GROUND SPEAR:If a taller Spear is needed, print more than one.Does NOT need support.0.3mm, 3 Walls, 50% "Gyroid" Infill.Print Time was 1 hour.20mm x 20mm x 118.7mm.1x GROUND SPEAR TIP:0.3mm, 4 wall.s, 50% "Gyroid" Infill.Needs support. "Snug" with 40% "Threshold Angle". Thread down.Print time was 35min.20mm x 20mm x 78.88mm.Sliced with Orca.Everything was printet in ****** Rapid PETG, on my K1 Max.My total print Time: About 9 hoursNO other parts needed. Everything screws together, the wings are press fit.If you want to mount it to something else, the bottom thread is "M10x1.5".
