Designed by CamarellArts – refined with community feedback
🧩 About the Project
The ATLAS Safety Tip is an open-source, 3D-printable fencing tip developed for thrust-heavy historical fencing weapons like rapiers and sideswords.
It’s designed to improve safety without compromising control or handling – for sparring, tournaments, or training.
Whether you're a fencer, club organizer, or tournament host, these tips offer a minimalist, reliable, and field-tested solution.
✅ Preferred Setup (Multi-material Composite):
Tip surface (first ~1 mm):
→ PCTG (e.g., extrudr PCTG)
Durable, impact-resistant, and low-friction – ideal for safe contact with fencing masks.
Body:
→ TPU ~95A (e.g., extrudr Medium Flex)
Flexible and medium-soft – ensures a secure grip on the blade while absorbing impact.
You may also print the tip entirely in TPU. In this case, a medium-soft TPU has shown the best results. It provides a secure fit and behaves well under imp
