I wanted a small inexpensive computer running windows to run an app (PerfPro CT Smart ) for my CompuTrainer. I also had several Dell laptop AC adapters laying around that should be able to supply the necessary power (output is 19v dc). So I decided to make a case using them.
This is still a WIP, but just wanted to post it up if others wanted to try this.
What I used
1 x Atomic Pi SBC
2 x LM2596 Buck Converters
1 x power switch (will probably switch this out to a momentary switch)
1 x Dell DC jack (repurposed from a broken Dell E Series docking station)
1 x 80mm PC fan (I used an old SilentX fan salvaged from my old PC)
1 x 3.5" LCD screen (it's a MPI3508 lcd )
1 x right angle HDMI cable
1 x microUSB power cable
1 x Dell AC Adapter
14 X #8 x 1/2" wood screws (as I had a lot of spares)
I still have some other ideas for this, so I will update when I make changes/additions/options.
***UPDATE 27FEB2020***
Uploaded a Blank Top Plate if you won't be using the LCD.
