All of this started when I had a crazy impulse and bought a 12V 120mm×120mm case fan. I don’t even know why I bought it—I never even powered it on! I thought someday I’d make something cool with it. Well, that day came. I wanted to make a stylish fan! So I powered it on to test the airflow… and completely missed the "ultra-quiet" label on it. A 1000 RPM fan is indeed silent… but it had zero airflow. Not a whisper of wind. Frustrated, I went and bought a 2600 RPM PWM-controlled case fan instead. "I will make a mini fan!" ... Anyway, I did it! I call it the "CYBER SMART Fan," and it still carries that Summit Dynamics aesthetic. It includes an SFT-1 smart terminal: displays real-time mode/temperature/humidity/fan power. Two modes (toggle via the terminal’s tactile button): AUTO Mode: Default. Fan adjusts speed based on ambient temperature (off below 18°C, 100% power above 30°C). WELD Mode: For soldering. Locks at 95% power. Manually flip the fan (since reversing motor polarity isn’t supported, and rotating the frame isn’t DIY-friendly). Now it’s an exhaust fan—effectively pulls soldering fumes at 12cm! (Auto-reverts to AUTO after 30 mins; can be re-enabled.) Recreating this might be slightly tricky, but true tinkerers won’t be stumped—hahaha! Code: See [Document 1: Code] Wiring: See [Document 2: Wiring] Materials Needed: 12V 120×120mm PWM case fan (4-wire, strongly recommend 2600+ RPM—or you’ll be frustrated) 12V 3-output power module 4 × 6mm×2mm round magnets 0.96" OLED screen ESP32-C3 microcontroller DHT11 temp/humidity sensor 8050 transistor Tactile switch Female-to-female Dupont wires 220Ω resistor (for transistor base) 12V 1.5–2A power adapter What are you waiting for, makers? Get building!
