autobots (bat signal)

This is a cheap autobots wall shadow for kids to play with. i made it for my kits where are autobots for halloween as a way to encourage them to use the flashlights during trick or treat and they won't put them down.

i used a set of very cheap flashlights from eveready i got from home depot, i like these as the light output is very low so kids don't blind themselves and their parents.

the original reflector can be used but it has a hot spot in the middle that distorts the image.

open the flashlight and carefully remove the led disc, if you happen to break the alignment tabs off in the led board don't worry, take pic and push the broken piece out by puncturing the black plastic as shown in the last picture.

install the new reflector in the cap, it takes a little force applied as close to the brim as possible but it will snap into place.
