This board stabilizer was developed out of necessity. If you have a SciFi board, you know that the trigger microswitch is held in place by a few small prongs and is not very stable. After a few games, my microswitch consistently would rock back far enough to not allow the microswitch to activate on trigger pull. This board buffer will hold your microswitch in place. It is sandwiched between the battery and the microswitch.
I developed this board buffer in tinkercad. It should work in any material you print with, but I would recommend TPU as it has the ability to absorb some of the shock. After printing, remove your battery, slide the buffer onto the board (align the slot) and replace the battery. The battery will hold the board buffer in.
Version 2 is a work in progress. I had some feedback that the tolerances were too tight on the original buffer, which did not allow the microswitch card to slide into place.
