This model is my take on a mechanical automatic scoreboard for darts. How does it work? In most dart games, you start with a certain number of points, and with each turn you subtract the points you got in the round from your total until the winner gets to zero. With this scoreboard, you dial in the initial total (501, 301, etc). With each round you dial in (clockwise) how many hundreds, tens and ones you scored. For example, if you scored 46, you dial 4 with the tens dial, and 6 with the ones dial, and the machine will do the subtracting for you. This is basically a functional clone of the classic “Bisset Automatic Dart Scorer". I tried to design this with a minimal hardware requirement, however, there is some hardware needed.
