What is itA simple awl guide for sewing thick fabrics. While trying to sew industrial felt, I found it difficult to punch holes that are evenly spaced, especially when the fabric is folded over itself. This is a small tool for evenly punching holes that are 1 cm apart, up to 10 cm.Pictured are two catchall trays I made as a first project using the guide. I found this guide on how to sew helpful for first-timers like me.How to printI used TPU filament for both parts, printed using standard PLA settings 215C - nozzle and 60C - bed. I switched the color for the ruler for legibility.Material used for sewingAwl kit with 50m of nylon - ~$12Industrial felt - 6ft x 1ft ~$6.50Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions or changes to the design. For anyone wanting to purchase one, I'd be happy to sell them depending on the interest. You can contact me through my Etsy store.
