AwlForAll Bobbin Spool

This is a replacement bobbin/spool for use with a popular leather-sewing awl. I found that when sewing using some special purpose thread (nylon line) that using the stock bobbins was difficult and painful, since the bobbin rims were not wide enough so I could apply the necessary amount of pressure/friction. This bobbin replaces the stock bobbin and is easier to use with this difficult thread.

The bobbin is provided in two pieces, and you will need to drill out the mounting hole to match the size of your pivot screw. You will also need to glue the two pieces together (I used the Harbor Freight gel super glue). Drill out the half with the small shaft first, then assemble/glue the two halves. Once the glue has set, drill the entire hole to the desired final size.

I printed this using ABS but I imagine pretty much any material will do.
