Baby gate stopper

We had this baby gate with a dial, and when you twist the dial it allows you to expand and retract the baby gate. An original function was you could press the dial to lock it into expand and contract mode but this function was broken on ours, making it impossible to smoothly pull out the gate or retract it. So I took some measurements of the dial (first picture) and made this cap you can clip over the dial to hold it in the open (or closed) positiontl;dr: Our baby gate would no longer lock on the extend/retract function, and this fixed it!
