Balancing Wine Bottle Stand

This 3D-printed wine stand is designed as a balancing display piece — it doesn’t stand on its own, but uses the weight of a full wine bottle and the precise angle of the base to counterbalance itself. Once the bottle is inserted into the top opening, the stand stand still and hangs in equilibrium, making the wine appear as if it’s floating in mid-air. The opening has a 35 mm diameter, so bottles with a neck size close to this will fit correctly. It’s a simple geometric form, but the visual effect is striking. The opening can also hold other objects if you manage to balance them — feel free to share any interesting results you discover. Please note that the stand will not balance without a bottle inserted, and different bottles can vary in size, weight and shape.
