I reuse old medicine bottles to store ball bearings. The bottles are commonly found in the US for over the counter medicines like antihistamines, acid reducers, etc. These 3D printed caps easily dispense various size loose bearings. Each printed cap has a small hole in the center and is engraved with the bearing size. STL files are included for common size loose ball bearings used in bicycle repair and for other sports/hobbies. Sizes include: 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32", and 1/4".
Hand press the printed caps into the mouth of the medicine bottle where the hole is small enough to dispense a couple of bearings at a time. If the fit is too tight, carefully enlarge the plastic bottle opening by filing the inside edge of the mouth of the bottle. The caps need to fit tight so they don't pop out when dispensing bearings. The original medicine bottle lid fits over top of the dispensing cap for safe storage. I use a sharpie marker to write the bearing size on the bottle lid too.
