Balloon Car

There was a balloon car race at school after a term full of weekly science experiments for our child. However the race was not really fair since the race track conditions were not shared before and some of the kids got really frustrated and upset...

This made me think to create a small 3D design what would create fair competition grounds for kids :)

The basic principles of my design was:
- keep it simple
- be as light as it can
- be able to run on rough surfaces like carpets etc
- minimise friction
- minimise air resistance

You will need to print (I used PLA for this)
4 wheels
1 base
1 propulsion clip on

you can use bamboo skewers for the wheel axles to put this together.
Make sure the wheels running smooth by removing any rough surface would cause friction, also you can grease the axle a bit...

The balloon will need a reasonably long exhaust pipe like a piece of straw.
