The housing fan of the Bambu Lab X1 3D printer is glued to the side wall. On arrival of the printer, the fan was loose. So, I decided to design a fan holder to be screwed to the bar where the LED is attached. When installed, the fan holder is completely invisible.
Steps:
1. Print the fan holder in ABS or PETG, I used 30% infill. You need to rotate it around the X axis by 180 degrees and use support.
2. Attach 2 M3 nuts with a tape below the top of the fan holder.
3. Detach the fan from the wall. Remove any glue/tape residues from the wall.
4. Unscrew the 3 fan screws on the back of the fan assembly.
5. Attach the fan holder using the 3 screws at the same location.
6. (optional) Attach velcro at the bottom bar.
7. Detach the LED by sliding it a little to the back.
8. Attach the fan holder with 2 M3 screws using the existing holes (going to the taped nuts).
9. Reattach the LED.
10. Done.
