Baobab Tree With Hidden Storage

Known as the "Tree of Life", the African baobab lives for centuries and supports entire communities and ecosystems in the savanna. People are eating its iron-rich leaves, drinking a coffee substitute from its seeds, and making beer and juice from the pulp from its large fruits, which have six times more vitamin C than oranges! The baobab tree is also known for sometimes developing a hollow trunk as it ages. This is not a universal characteristic, but it is common enough that many baobabs have a hollow core. These hollows can be quite large, with some capable of holding dozens of people! THIS IS WHY I MODELED IT TO BE ALSO USED AS HIDDEN STORAGE : ) There are 2 printable versions of this tree: -Empty with no leaves -With leaves The version with no leaves uses less material and it's easier to print, this version makes the baobab look like it's the dry season! The version with leaves uses more material and it's harder to print but after sanding its leaves a bit and applying a glossy coating to hide layer lines or if you print with ABS use acetone smoothing it will look really good, but you can also leave it basic and just use ironing on top surfaces, small layer height and just sand the model a bit. For assembling you need 3 pieces -Cap -Base -Tree (with leaves) or Tree (without leaves) Print settings: Use Organic tree supports Use a layer height between 0.1-0.2mm You can use ironing on all tup surfaces if your printer is well calibrated Use 3 perimeters and 30%-50% infill Use brim for the tree model You should set the printer to print the branches slower (it should do this automatically), or use a slower print speed just to be safe If you think your printer cannot print this (every machine is different) then you should print the tree without leaves on top Have a nice day!
