Base for IR Bracket 5mmB

This is a two part optical sensor mount that was made to use normal 5mm LEDs. I use Osram Opto SFH 203 visual light and near IR for the sensor which allows use of common red 5mm LEDs but you can pick any pair that fit 5mm.

The mounting holes were made to fit 2020 or 4040 aluminum extrusions.

The two parts fit together tight enough for testing but I put a dab of RTV to keep them together just to be on the safe side.

For the wire I used two pairs of wires from a CAT5 cable and twisted them together with a hand drill.
