For today's #3DPrintmas model, I have a Katana for you. This came about because my wife needed a short katana to go into a wedding cake for her business. So I modeled a full size katana in Fusion 360 by sketching the outline off of an image. Then I sliced it into 3 pieces and scaled it out to be the size it is.
Then after printing the pieces my wife glued it together and painted it up. Then she stabbed it into a cake (that must've been satisfying). I've included video of the cake in the video well.
The file for the sword is a half-size katana. So if you want full size scale it up by 200%. For the sword that is in the pictures, I scaled all 3 pieces in the X and Y directions by 200% and left the Z direction untouched.
Print Settings:
Printer: Da Vinci 1.0 Pro
Filament: Hatchbox PLA
Layer Height: 0.1mm
