This is my concept for the Bathroom Mop Challenge. This concept incorporates a couple unique features. That I hope will set my idea out from the rest and even become a product that could be used for more places than just the bathroom. The first would be the removable cloth. When looking at this product I see it being used a lot for small spills, small drips, and quick cleans in the bathroom. With this mind set I wondered how many people would want to dispose of or wash a cloth that was used for a quick clean. I decided that most people would rather use a common house hold paper product for such task. This is why I designed my Bathroom Mop to use a common house hold paper towel. The paper towel is held into place by two rotating spring tension arms. The two arms want to stay in a closed position by force of a spring and resting on the top side of the cleaning head. When the button in the handle is pressed the arms rotate into the open positioned where a folded paper towel can easily slide into place. Once the button is released, the two arms swing back into place bending the paper towel and holding it firmly to the mop head. When the cleanup is finished, just squeeze the button to release the paper towel with no need of human hands to touch the now dirty paper towel. My second Idea comes at the joint. Instead of using a hinge or ball joint I am proposing a different solution. This is a rubber joint that can bend in any direction. This would cut down on a lot of mechanical movement and complexity in the design while making it easier and cheaper to manufacture. Lastly is the handle. Currently I only have one handle design shown which is 20" long. This makes the mop small and easy to store away. However, with this concept many different types of handles can be designed based on what is most useful in the bathroom. I have 3 more handle design ideas that I hope to create and ad more renderings soon. They would be: 1) A handle that can extend much like and umbrella to give
