Problem:
I needed a way to organize my office battery drawers in a way where I could easily see number of batteries in a sized container. I needed to have access to the head and tail ends of the battery to take measurements with the multimeter. And because I have a 3yr-old son who is in everything, a way to fasten the containers closed so the batteries stay organized in their containers for longer than 5 minutes.
Solution:
Custom sized battery holders in the 4 common sizes. AA, AAA, C, and D. in common battery unit quantities.
Ends of the containers have peg and hole system for closing alignment.
Ends of the containers have appropriate tapered holes to accept optional 6-32 threaded heat inserts put in by soldering iron.
Print 2 containers at a time if wanting a closed container, Print 1 if just wanting a tray.
Print 2x of the StackingPin file to get tapered pins that fit the outside holes to allow containers to be stacked without sliding around.
