Battlestar Galactica - Hermes class

A design of Battlestar based off of a physical model I bought several years ago. I ended up modifying it several times over the years but it finally broke and couldn’t be repaired so decided to put together a 3d model to get a replacement printed.

I put together a simple backstory for the class:
An older class of Battlestar, the Hermes class introduced the double stacked landing pods popularised by the following Mercury class. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of the Cylon war, it was bound by the same computer networking limitations as wartime ships such as Galactica and as such only a handful of ships were brought into service before the superior Mercury class joined the fleet. Most of the class had relatively short careers before being relegated to reserve and training roles due to their high manning requirements and as such none of the class was active at the time of the fall of the Colonies.

Designed to be a similar size to the Hasbro titanium series Battlestar Pegas
