Bb Clarinet Barrel 64mm

I designed and printed this thing because my daughter wanted to try a shorter Barrel to see how it changed the attenuation. I tried it on both our instruments with no issue. I have a Bundy, and she has a Jupiter. All, but the length, dimensions were taken from her Jupiter. I planned on using this as a prototype, then use my CNC router to make one from wood, but no need. She loves the sound. So, she is painting it black and keeping it in her case.


I think this would be a cool thing for students learing about instruments. A small change to the length of this barrel changes the tone of the instrument. Different materials may also produce different tones.
