Besides the obvious need to use a tool to extract the shraeder valve, you may have to replace the o-ring that's inside the quick-disconnect. It's very painful to do this- even getting an old one out is troublesome, and you'll need a pick and patience.

But getting one in, is next to impossible without the tool listed here. The first thing you do is lightly silicone grease the inside of the o-ring (most QDs use a 011 oring). Push the insert all the way to the bottom of the barrel. I went ahead and took out my shraeder valve, but you might not need to. Then force the o-ring into the barrel over the insert stem. It seems far larger than the diameter so it'll be lopsided. That's ok- because now you'll use the sleeve to push it into place. Press the sleeve down until it bottoms, and that should force the o-ring into the groove.
