This is the 3D-model I designed while working on my bachelor exam.
The system that alignes the beads is derived from Scanlimes model. The model has been a great help.
The machine built from this model is working with the hardware and software I used. Following video shows a small example in action: https://youtu.be/8U88G62yCSs
The software and some kind of documentation is available here:

The following hardware was used:
- GWS S125 Servo for dispatcher (15,62€)
- SG90 Servo for analyzer (1,15€)
- Micro 130 DC Motor for aligner (0,56€)
- 60RPM 6V Geared Motor for sequentializer (2,36€)
- TCS34725 Sensor for analyzer (2,88€)
- Ball Bearing (Inner Diameter of 10mm) (0,72€)
- L298N motor driver (1,34€)
- 5V 3A Power Supply for RasPi (2,99€)
- 12V 3A power supply and some cables and a dc-dc step down ~5€
- 100 M2 6mm Philips Flat-Head Self-tapping Stainless screws 1,28€
- 200 M3 (6-20mm)
