This idea came to me not too long ago. These disks on a motor will spin, and through one of the holes you can put your beam (laser, photons, etc pretty much any beam or whatever so long as the beam doesn't penetrate the plastic xD). So as the disk is spinning, its chopping your beam and giving you a frequency. Also, if you use aluminum foil to cover the plastic and not the holes you can prob play with other radiations lol. I think you can also use these disks as little "observing windows" that provide a flash frame of signal.

Calculations are as follows:

Frequency Created = revolutions per minute*holes in the disk.

so if you're doing 200 spins per second and you're using the 24hole disk, you'll have a frequency of 4800Hz. Or 4800 flash frames. Lol.

I also included the original template of the disk, so you can open it up on sketchup or whatever and use push/pull function to make your own patterns for your research!! I'll see if I can make a stand, or a setup to show how it w
