Bee Hive Nuc Door
===============
This is an experimental BeeHive Nuc door. I have _NOT_ tried it on a nuc yet, but the design is similar to products that are already available.
The first version has four positions. One position is fully opened to allow bees to forage, the other positions allow air to enter the hive but bees will be captive. One of the positions acts as a handle for turning the door
The second version now has the slots redesigned to allow worker bees to forage but acts to prevent a queen bee from leaving the hive. This will also prevent drones from entering or leaving the hive.
I designed the door to have the pivot either above of below the entrance (esthetically) but I don't think the bees really care if the slots are vertical or horizontal.
If your printer does not produce 3mm vent holes you may want to use a 3mm drill to clean the holes out for maximum ventilation.
Designed in Fusion 360.
