‘The last voyage of the Benchy Aurora’ In the chronicles of the Maker seas, her name is written in molten G-code: Aurora, the Benchy of Hope. Printed in a time when overhangs were bold and bridges were flawless. But no one ever spoke of what lurked beneath the surface - that behemoth known as the bane of all print captains: the white shark of Layer 67. A behemoth from the STL's primeval days, with teeth as sharp as a freshly cleaned nozzle, with a mouth big enough to devour the stern of a Benchy in a single bite. The Aurora was on her way to her maiden destination - Bed Level harbour - when the water rippled in front of her... then a jolt... a splintering... And up from the depths it rose. Not a fish. Not an animal.A horror from the cache of Slicer's past. With a snarling crack, the shark's mouth closed around the stern of the Benchy - a final cry for help in the beeping of the endstops... then it was gone. Only a single layer remained on the building board.Torn apart. Aban
