This is a heated rotary y axis that I put together for a project. The concept is similar to a 4th axis "A" on a CNC. Instead of the flat build plate this is a curved heated build plate made to the radius of the object you need to print. I wanted continuous strands of plastic to make the parts I made as strong as possible. Anyway I thought I would share it. I calibrated the Y axis to travel the same distance it would with a flat build plate. And I drew the parts up flat but the printer doesn't know the difference and printed them out curved. The Y axis was fitted to the my prototype printer (aka Bergbot) where I try stuff out. It worked and the parts that were printed worked. Thought I would share the technology in case someone else was wondering. I had used a direct drive gear motor to the main shaft but needed more gear reduction so I used some herringbone gears to get another 5.2 to 1 on top of the gear motor. Those gears are all over the "Verse" so I didn't include them in
