Bicycle Axle Cap

This is a cap for covering the ends of long axles on kids bikes.

Many bikes for kids come with training wheels and those bikes usually have longer than typical axles. When the training wheels are removed, you end up with long axles that stick out enough to become a minor hazard for scraping legs and shins. This also happens if you remove the axle pegs on a BMX style bike.

These caps screw on and make it less likely that the extended axle will cut, scrape or otherwise injure a kid. And because they thread on, they are pretty likely to stay put. I made these because I work on a lot of kids bikes for an organization that gives free bikes to kids who wouldn't otherwise have a bike. So I've put these on a lot of bikes.
