Everybody needs a big fragile hyperboloid.
This is one of the least dense objects that can be printed without supports.
- 120 mm tall ~ 5.5 grams
- 240 mm tall ~ 20.5 grams
Apparently an excellent stringing test (see photos)
Note that I've only successfully printed this in standard PLA. Matte PLA was not rigid enough, and required increasing the 'thickness' value in OpenSCAD.
Print settings:
- Layer height 0.28 mm
- Limit speed to 60 mm/s (including travel speed)
- Limit acceleration to 500 mm/s^2
