Bigtreetech Smart Sensor Mount for Creality printers converted to direct drive. It mounts the sensor in the old extruder stepper motor holder and uses a reverse Bowden tube to connect to the new extruder, and it also includes a place to use a zip tie to hold your cables.
The reverse Bowden is required in order to avoid false filament clog triggering due to filament slack between the sensor and the extruder.
BOM:
- 2 x M3x6 or M3x8 Bolts (don't use longer as it will be hard to insert)
- 2 x M3 nuts
Installation:
This mount replaces the backplate of the sensor, so first remove the 6 screws from the back of the smart sensor and attach the new backplate and mount combo, reusing the same screws.
Insert the m3 screws and attach the mount to the extruder motor mount in the frame.
Move the printing head all the way to the right, insert the zip tie in the holes and close it, making sure you are keeping enough slack in the cables to avoid any bends
