This is a variant of an assistive device designed to help a person with an upper limb difference to comfortably ride a bicycle. It was designed by members of eNable Lowell, an on-campus group at the University of Massachusetts Lowell that designs and distributes 3D printed assistive devices to people with limb differences.
This variant of the device was created as a more comfortable alternative of the original bike device for people with digits or some gripping ability. It allows PVC to be inserted into the device and thermoformed into an appropriate custom grip shape.
Note: The handle pictured was for our first recipient. You may need to modify the size, length, and other aspects of the socket to provide a comfortable riding experience for the user.
Another Note: Print two of the "grips" in order to complete device assembly.
