This is my attempt at creating an affordable lightweight and simple to use binaural microphone for recording "3D" sound. You can learn more about binaural sound here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd5i7TlpzCk
The project requires a dual microphone lavalier to be placed in the ears you'll be printing. I used the Polsen OLM-20. Because of the long cord, I created a cavity to house much of the excess folded cable.
The total cost of buying the microphone and printing the parts should cost less than $100, versus commercial solutions that cost hundreds.
