Bird Nest Box Bluetit

This Nest box is sized for a Bluetit or Coal tit, Willow tit etc. The entry hole is 26mm. It is designed so it can be taken down and cleaned out each season. The box is screwed on and the two pins keep the box in place. To clean or inspect, simply pull the two pins out. It has vent and drain holes. I have printed mine in PLA,PLA+ and PETG. PLA is fine for most conditions but if you live in a hot climate you may want to print in PETG.I live in the UK and this size is recommended by the RSPB. The box has indentations in the front for birds to hang on and pass food to the other parent. I print mine in natural colors and find that the birds are not shy using them. Birds prefer to have nest boxes placed in shaded areas and at least 2 meter's from the ground. Please follow guidelines from RSPB or similar as to placing.Please leave a rating if you like this design.
