Bit_CASE.SCAD
This is a parametric model for a screw bit case with a pivoting lid.
Virtually every parameter in the model can be modified within reasonable limits.
The default model produces a case which holds about 50 standard 1/4 inch hex
shank bits of standard short length.
The height of the case lid can be adjusted to accomodate bits of any height.
The case hinge works well in my test prints as does the closure locking
mechanism (there are two types) However it may be desirable to use a screw to
support the hinge. Currently the holes are set for 3mm flat bottom screws that
are about 8mm deep.
The model supports one line of arbitrary text that may be debossed on the top
of the top cover.
The font can be set by editing the code.
Several examples are provided.
13 images have been provided wich can also be debossed into the top cover.
These images are provided in a ZIP file that should be expanded into the same
directory as the .SCAD file.
