black cat (3D scan)

This is a WORK IN PROGRESS, still some holes to fix to make the design "watertight".

This design comes from a 3D scan out of a black cat statuette.

I ve made about 100 photos with my smartphone, processed the photos to resize, black an white, and make the background a solid white (python scripts).

And then 3DF Zephir processed the set of photos.

The Artisan extension of sketchup allowed me to reduce the number of triangles...(this tool can be used to make a low poly design by clicking on the "reduce polygons" button (set to about 70% or more)

And i still need to refine the end result to improve the printability. (i haven't printed it yet)

Obviously it needs some supports.
