Update 7 March 2026: Added the Lucky 13 side design. DescriptionNot a remix of the Bambu spool, or any other, this is a completely new modular design. This started out as an exercise to see if I could come up with a connection mechanism that would be secure enough to give me confidence the spool wouldn’t split, and wouldn’t require locking shims to hold everything in place. I never actually used the spacing shim when printing spools, but I was also never quite confident in the connection, either. I kept going, and added some other features like integrated filament clips on both sides, and an optional hub that holds desiccant, so I no longer need to print separate containers to put in the centers of my spools. The desiccant hub can only be used with an AMS unit, or a dry box, it prevents the spool from being hung on a spool holder, so any spools you need to hang on a spool holder should use the hollow hub, e.g. TPU that you want to hang from my rear-facing spool holder for a direct path
