This is a shift knob design I made for my 5-speed e28 535i, I know for certain that it also fits an e46 and by extension most other manual BMW models. Designed in Blender.
Print it upright with a raft to avoid it wobbling near the end of the print, and gently sand the top of the print for a velvety look. You can print it upside down to avoid supporting the hole for the shaft, but the details on top will end up looking a little rough.
