My old BobSweep PetHair had a tear in the original tread. I didn't want to pay $40 to replace the entire wheel assembly which includes the motor and wiring when I could just replace the wheel and tread itself.
I used an existing wheel model to design the tread with, but once I tried installing that wheel onto my Bob, it didn't fit at all. I started from scratch on a new wheel design that more closely matches the original wheel that came on the Bob.
The original Wheel lid is backwards compatible with the new wheel main so you can choose to print an entire new wheel assembly or just the parts you need. The new tread is not backwards compatible, however. After having the same failure twice I realized the feature holding the tread onto the wheel was just not robust enough, so I designed it to be stronger.
