X-37 originated as the Rockwell ‘ReFly’ program, picked up as an Air Force Research Lab research program as the Mini Spaceplane Technology (MiST) program, reorganized as the X-40, transferred to NASA as X-37 and then picked up with its current owner. This model consists of 7 parts; the body, the 2 wings, the 2 rudders, the nozzle and a separate body flap. The original reason for the separate body flap was to make it articulate. I originally printed the body, with wings and rudders attached horizontally. Then I separated all the pieces to make the body printable standing on it end. A much smoother print than printing horizontal. This also lets you print the rudders and flap with black filament reducing the painting requirement.The body flap has little nips on the side with corresponding dimples in the body. I found it easier to insert the body flay if I cut a little (very little) notch in one side of the body hole for flap. Then the body flap just snaps into the body, and moves up and d
