I made a Book Trimmer - Bookbinding Plough to help me cleanly trim the edges of books. This works pretty well with my book press, but I was frustrated by two things:I was tired of trying to position a cutting matte behind the book while trying to keep the book aligned and closing the press.It was easy to accidentally tilt the plough as I was sliding it across paper.To solve this, I modeled two press attachments:Plate/Platen attachment to stick up slightly and act as a cutting matteBase attachment to support the ploughNow obviously not all presses will have the same dimensions, so I modeled this is in OpenSCAD. This means you can click the “Customize” button and use measurements for your own press. For those who are adventurous, I also included a build123d python file if you want to use it instead.Tips:I recommend your first version be printed with the Platen Length set to 5mm or so to test fit on your press.
