Boom Microphone Table Vise (Replacement)

This design is a replacement a table vise clamp for a typical (but very popular) "cheap microphone boom stand" at the bottom of the mic boom which fits into a 12mm hole that is around 30mm deep.

I have also included a picture of the bottom of a typical mic boom and another picture of two examples of similar kits available on amazon and elsewhere. These boom/mike kits are very popular due to their low price; but the table vise for these booms are unreliable and then to break; and so the reason for building this replacement.
