3D-Printed Quick-Swap Sensor Mount for E-Bikes
I’ve designed a 3D-printed solution that allows for quick swapping of the speed sensor between positions inside or outside the bike frame. Many riders rely on duct tape for this, but it’s not only unreliable—it’s also illegal in the EU. That's why I only use this setup for longer rides outside city limits, where regulations are less strict or risks to get caught. When not in use, the sensor can be swiftly swapped back into its original position without the hassle of screwing it in again.
Performance & Speed Benefits
When the sensor is mounted outside the frame and paired with a magnet, I've observed speed improvements in the range of 30 to 40 km/h, providing a more responsive and powerful ride without the need of a speed chip or speedbox with hefty prices.
Disclaimer: Use at Your Own Risk
It's important to note that I take no responsibility for any damage, accidents, or legal consequences resulting from using
