The Bosch Gluey hot glue guns are great for kids (and older people), but do not include a stand.
This was my attempt at making one and it has proven very useful for more than 5 years now!
* Gluey held with nozzle up, to prevent glue drips
* Triangular footprint for more stability
* On/off button accessible when in stand
