### Overview
MacGregor 26C sailboats have a large front hatch which unfortunately doesn't have any support from the factory to keep it up at various degrees for ventilation. This part fits in the corner and can hold the hatch in 4 positions, varying from just a slight crack to a wide open (45 degrees or so). It made for 1 hand (1 finger really) operation - just lift the hatch to desirable position and let it be.
It also allows hatch to open completely just by lifting it beyond the last point to get in/out though the hatch, stow a spinnaker, etc, If you lift, lower a tiny bit, then lift again, and the shaft disconnects from the base so the hatch can swing wide open.
All corners are rounded, so you wouldn't scratch yourself when going through the hatch. The base is designed fairly thin to save space and intentionally to be a braking point - if you step of fall on the hatch, something will have to break - either the hatch itself or the hinges or the 3D-printed part. And I would rathe
